Artist Statement: This piece is part of my new series WASTED in which I confront and explore the emotions and mental effects of both the current Covid crisis and issues of substance abuse and the mental effects that manifest as a result. "Mask" tells the story of using alcohol as a crutch to mask and detach from internal and external realities and how we perceive ourselves from an outsider's view.
All art is original and each screen is coated, burned and meticulously hand-pulled with love by myself in my lo-tech studio on Arches 88 paper in editions of five.
