Atlantic senses are the beginning of a journey that explores the power of narrative control. This piece points to the parallels between the pineapples' journey to America and that of the first slaves that arrived in South Carolina. Both traveled the transatlantic slave journey and the identity of both were re-authored to fit the narrative of wealth through the lens of white supremacy and patriarchy.
