This image (and series) explores addiction and free will. We like to think we are making our own decisions out of free will but in reality there are invisible tethers restraining us. Sometimes these restraints are helpful even essential for life. The tether that prevents us from relapsing into addiction when broken in the name of self-determination has consequences that can reverberate through our entire life. We could try consulting another version of ourselves before making these decisions. Our future self? Our past self? One of them would have the right answer.
