Same Tree, Different Day - December 24, 2015

I completed a 365-day project called "Same Tree, Different Day" in which I photographed a tree behind my home from my yard every day for a year. As someone who has dealt with depression since high school, I learned that having a daily goal helped me manage my mental health. The project has taken on new meaning due to the pandemic by illustrating how someone can still be very creative when confined to their home. I consider myself a mental-health advocate and lecture regularly about this project to share what I've learned in order to inspire others. I've lectured for my local chapters of the Depression Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) and the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI). I also spoke at the Canadian Mental Health Association conference in Toronto in 2019. It would mean a lot to me to participate in your exhibit.
